Continuous Round Elastomer Cords for Industrial Sealing
Rubber cords provide a flexible sealing medium for applications where standard moulded O-rings are impractical due to non-standard groove dimensions or very large diameters. Spliced into continuous loops using cyanoacrylate adhesive or hot vulcanized joints, extruded cords offer reliable static sealing in pipeline manways, vacuum chambers, and industrial lids.

Splicing & Installation Recommendations
For static pressures up to 15 bar, butt-joint bonding using industrial ethyl-cyanoacrylate adhesive achieves 80-90% of parent polymer tensile strength. For dynamic or aggressive fluid environments, we provide in-house hot-vulcanized scarf-jointed rings that exhibit seamless elastomeric continuity.
